Congratulations... you must be planning your wedding day!
I am a Fremantle based marriage celebrant specialising in warm-hearted, modern and personal wedding ceremonies.
“It’s no over-exaggeration for us to say that Claire truly made our day. We had a small intimate family wedding. Claire was so warm and professional, a gifted speaker, and enormous support on the day. She spent so much time with us before the ceremony to understand what we wanted our wedding to be like and the ceremony she drafted was just amazing. She was so easy to work with, she made it an absolute pleasure to plan our special day.
The hand tying ritual at the end was so gorgeous and meaningful. It gave us pause, during the ceremony, to reflect on the solemnity and significance of the words we’d just shared. It was truly lovely. Claire, you’ve turned us both into hopeless romantics again.” - Clare and Brendan
One evening shortly after my husband and I got married we were reliving moments from our wedding day and talking about how wonderful our ceremony was. It had taken us both a bit by surprise. Whilst I always assumed the ceremony would be lovely, I thought it would be more about nerves and formality and all the real magic would be in the reception. But the ceremony turned out to be my favourite part of the day. Nothing can quite describe the feeling and the energy in the room. Our celebrant did the most amazing job of sharing our love story and making the whole ceremony truly personal. It was during this conversation with my husband that I had one of those ‘ah ha’ moments - I want to create that magic for other people! Yes, I should become a marriage celebrant!
And now it feels like something I was always meant to do. Being a marriage celebrant brings together all the things I love and am good at. Everyone tells me my best attribute is my 'people skills' - which I think just means being interested in people and being easy to get along with. I love meeting new people from all walks of life. I consider myself relaxed and friendly but also organised and professional. I relish the opportunity to write something meaningful and unique and I secretly love a bit of public speaking. And of course who doesn’t love to get dressed up and go to a wedding.
I still have a day job - I work in corporate communications and I'm also a mum to two beautiful little boys. I'm a marriage celebrant simply for the joy of it - being part of people's wedding day and helping to create something special is a real honour and makes me happy.
Enough about me! I would love to hear your love story and create some magic for you to cherish for years to come.
“I’m so glad to have had Claire as our celebrant. From our first phone call, I knew I had found the person who would marry us. Our first meeting with her was no different, we instantly felt at ease with her gentle and warm nature. Throughout the journey to our big day, communicating with Claire was effortless as she guided us through each step to make our day magical. We had so many compliments on how lovely she was and how she created such a relaxed setting. Our ceremony was perfect and I couldn’t be happier xx Thank you Claire!” - Ash & Rob

"Claire delivered our wedding ceremony in Tasmania this past April. Her involvement in our wedding couldn't have been better - everything down to the dress matching the flowers on my jacket! Despite being in a seperate city to Claire, she guided us through the process with ease as we crafted the ceremony and organised the details. For the ceremony, Claire's style was youthful, calm and engaging; just what we were hoping for. The tone, delivery and pace were spot on and she was a nice calming presence. All our family and friends were delighted. We are very happy and would highly recommend Claire." - Mike & Tiff

Step 1: Meet and greet
First, we meet – over the phone, or preferably over coffee or wine. We get to know each other and make sure we’re a good match.
Step 2: Complete the Notice of Intended Marriage form
At our first or second meeting (depending on your ceremony date) we’ll complete the Notice of Intended Marriage document. I’ll share ideas for poems, readings, vows, and I’ll ask you to complete a questionnaire so I have more details about your love story and can get started on drafting a personal ceremony that captures who you are as a couple.
Step 3: Write your ceremony
I’ll send you a draft ceremony and we’ll tic tac back and forth usually via email to make sure the ceremony is a perfect fit (we can keep some parts a surprise for the day).
Step 4: Final run through/ rehearsal
In the week or two prior to the wedding day we go through all the final details to make sure it’s all smooth sailing on the day, including optional rehearsal at the venue.
Step 5: Get married
When the day finally arrives, I’ll be there with bells on and will make sure it all goes perfectly. You’ll get a copy of your ceremony and your marriage certificate. I’ll take care of the paperwork and lodge it with Births, Deaths and Marriages.
Sound like a good plan? Get in touch and we can take it from there.
